MAGNA
INDIE FILMMAKERS
The Devil Done Let Out
From Producer/Director Damon Blalack, July 2006: "The
film, Let Us Go and Burn Her Body; Or, the Devil Done Let Out, won a
Best of Category Award at the 2005 Bare Bones International Film
Festival, and was a near-finalist for inclusion at Worldfest in
Houston TX that same year. It had a featured write-up in The Tulsa
World, as well as in Hacker's Source horror film magazine. It was
just submitted to Sundance and The Chicago International Film
Festival, and I have a festival submission schedule lined up for the
upcoming year. It was also acquired by a distributor last fall for
internet pay-per view screening. I have included a review from the
Hacker's Source magazine issue #19 July 2005 because it specifically
mentions two of the nine actors you represent. Click here to read
the article Hacker's Source
review.doc Also, the internet movie database page for it
can be found at
http://imdb.com/title/tt0448017/, listing the full cast. Thanks
for all your help in the past since you were vital to its success,
and I'll definitely be calling you guys in the future for my
next paid project!" Damon Blalack

Some pics of the co-stars from
the flick - Rebecca McCauley and Head
Florist, Randy Colton Middle: Linda McDonald as Georgiana. Right:
Jerome Stevenson, Rebecca and Stacey Farley. The
award winning feature, "Making Arrangements," documents the lives of
six florists over four days. With flower shortages, demanding clients, and
extreme personalities, anyone could Go Floral! Filmed
over 17 days in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, “Making Arrangements” features an
impressive ensemble cast, almost all of whom are represented by MAGNA Talent
Agency,
original music from local bands, and of course, spectacular flowers. Filmmaker
Melissa Scaramucci wrote and directed “Making Arrangements” inspired by her
job as a florist during college. Melissa worked
with award-winning short filmmaker Peter Austin Hermes to produce the film. In
addition to sharing production credit, Hermes worked as director of photography
shooting “Making Arrangements” on 16mm film. To date, “Making
Arrangements” has traveled to two festivals, and won two awards. The film
garnered top honors for Best Feature at the Crossroads Film Festival in Jackson,
MS. Prior to Crossroads, the film received Honorable Mention at the Big Muddy
Film Festival in Illinois. The focus of this festival is traditionally shorts,
however the program directors were so impressed with “Making Arrangements,”
it became the first and only feature to be accepted in several years. GREAT WORK MELISSA!!!
