2000, 2001, 2002, 2003,
2004, 2005, 2006 and now 2007 have been great years for both union and independent film projects here in
Oklahoma! About 400 MAGNA Actors now have film credits on their
resumes in such films as: Elizabethtown (Cameron Crowe),

Everyday Occurences, The Devil Done Let Out, Soul's Midnight,
Surveillance, RECOIL, Fingerprints, Fun Park, Love Letters, Four Sheets to the Wind, The Hunt, Demons, Therapist, Venom, Return to Sender,
Mind's Eye, Where the Red
Fern Grows, Toe Tags, Street Creatures, Walk on Water, Swan Dive,
Consequences, Miss Understanding, Little Flower, Comic Day, Baby, *Star Crossed*, The Christmas Child, Tainted
Legacy, "O", Indian Graffiti, The Living Testament of Larry
Darryl, Cockfight, Making Arrangements, Your

We've even done some work in Texas on such major motion
pictures as All The Pretty Horses & Serving Sara.
The launch of the Oklahoma
Lottery is bringing lots of work for MAGNA actors, almost 300
have already participated in one or more of the television ads
shopping, singing, dancing, you name it. Morgan Brown and Deidre
McClendon reported, while Wil Rogers and Kirk Suttles portrayed
Power Balls in one, and Matt Cheek and Robin Young paired up as
a couple to "WOO HOO!" in a couple of spots. Several
Magnateers also voiced lots of radio spots, and all except one
of the Pick 3 personnel (9:10 PM every night FOX 25) are
MAGNATEERS! Dano, Stacy Taylor and Cara Black do most of the
voice-over for the drawing with Sarah Hoffman, Susan Riley, Wil
Rogers, Angi Bruss, Stacey LeGrange, Cara
Black, Chrystle Jones, Erika O'Bar drawing the balls on-camera.
The Cameron Crowe
picture, Elizabethtown, starring Orlando Bloom and
Kirsten Dunst, shot for 3 days in Oklahoma in summer 2004. MAGNA
actor's Wendell Williams. Deb Davis, Ashley Merritt and Breanna
Stripling were principles in one scene with Orlando! About 50
extra roles were played by MAGNATEERS....lots of them with
screen time with Orlando Bloom. Cameron Crowe made a point of
personally thanking everyone who worked on the film here!
TOYOTA came to town in
June 2005 to shoot 3 days of national TV commercials, Daryl
Wheeler and Brandon Jackson won principal roles and over 30
MAGNA talents worked as extras on the shoot. Morgan
Brown played spokesperson for a new dealership in town, City
Chevrolet in Spring 2005, while also taping radio and voice over
spots as Scoops McGee for the Oklahoma Redhawks baseball team.
and MAGNA'S Nakita Colbert has been seen as Sunwest Motors Pitch
person for several years now and Sarah Clarke has recently begun
as the spokesperson for Roberts Auto Group in Pryor. Daryl
Wheeler, Craig Pruitt and Pete Young did a "Penn & Teller"esque
stint for Fowler Dodge and Katrina Jones is the new Auto Credit
Express Girl. MAGNA actors appear regularly on
Fowler Dealerships' spots, HONDA, TOYOTA and DODGE, as well as
the Riverside Dealerships (Toyota and Chevrolet) in Tulsa,
Mountain State Toyota (Colorado) and Vegas West Honda (Nevada).
Once again, our talented MAGNA
children shine as 12 year old Lexi Ainsworth won a supporting
role as victim Grace Budd, in the feature length SAG film, Wisteria,
starring Patrick Bauchau (Carnivale). The story. set in upstate
New York chronicles the 1930's children serial killer, Albert
Fish. Other speaking roles went to Calley Luman, Charlie
Dickerson, David Shuler, Dana Williams, Don Taylor, Mike Waugh,
Morgan Brown, Kent Jones, Mitchell Burns, Ben Hall, Amber
Dickinson, Danette Wilson, Jason Burkhart, Eric Starkey, Jerome
Stevenson, Velinda Godfrey, Brett Bower, and Jake Hauton. MAGNA
actors also filled 110 extra roles for the film.
Blake Garrett took over the
role of Mike in the Fall '03 to Summer '04 Barney's Colorful
World International tour. In Fall 2002, 10 year old BJ Wallace
started the trend when he won a role in the NATIONAL Barney Spring 2003 Tour, with
Jacob Chancellor as first alternate. The show opened in January
'03 at New York City's Radio City Music Hall, then toured through the
middle of May covering lots of the US. BJ's sister, Emalee,
appeared on Judging Amy and is on some Jimmy Dean's Sausage
commercials this season. Riley Weatherford was selected as the
2003 Oklahoma GASCaster
for the Nickelodeon show, Games and Sports for Kids.
Riley reported on local sporting events for the show.
Riley and his family were treated to a trip to New York City,
where Riley, and GASCasters from other areas were trained with a
real press conference where they interviewed and met Pro
Athletes Jason Seahorn, Boomer Esiason, Dan Marino, Tiki Barber
and Deion Sanders and others!
One of the FAA industrial
films, shot in February 2003 starring Wade Carter and
Barbara Graham-Sandlin called "Pilot Fatigue in
Aviation" won a SILVER TELLY award (the best) and got a
very high ranking in its category. The house scenes were filmed
at the Chancellor house in Edmond with son Jacob also in a
brief scene in the video running down the stairs and jumping on
Wade. WAY TO GO MAGNATEERS!!!
2007 was the eighth year MAGNA
actors performed the live Delta Dental Program, Captain
Supertooth, at schools all over Oklahoma. Sponsored by
Delta Dental, with an average of 20 shows per week during most
of the spring semesters, such actors as Cacky Poarch,
Melissa Scaramucci, Brett Bower, Wil Rogers, Jessica Stone, Matt Brown, Jordan Knudson,
John Howell, Meghan Connor & Angela Ensey, talk, sing &
dance their way into an explanation of correct dental hygiene to
the delight of thousands of young children...who even get a free
toothbrush!
TACO MAYO TV spots have
featured lots of MAGNA actors, including Margie's husband,
Pat, in December 2001. He's not an actor, but he does have
a Harley, and that's what they needed for that one. Other TACO
MAYO roles have included Wil Rogers in one spot, Amanda Weisenthal, Beth Swales and Deb
Coplin as figure envious females, Lara Schoenhals as a teenager with a
crush, Wendell Williams as a Judge, Jeff Curran as a Lawyer (a
real stretch), Derrick Graves and Grant Brittan arm wrestling.
Josh Cullison as a Boxer, and Pete Young, Amanda Danskin and
Justin Baker trying to define BORACHO.
During the summers of 2001,
2002, 2003 and 2004 and fall 2006, over 200 MAGNA actors participated in shoots for Oklahoma
Tourism commercials.
More than 150 MAGNA actors shot
TV spots for the Cherokee and Million $ Elm Casinos in Tulsa,
Cimarron & Winstar elsewhere in Oklahoma, and
Fire Lake, Lucky Star, River Wind, Remington Park
and Thunderbird Casinos in the OKC area. MAGNA actors Kale Woosley, Kelvin Carrington, Rob Johnstone and Jane Hall were
featured in a Weokie Credit Union TV spot, with Kale as The
Roving Reporter, Boy on the Street, and Jane leaving on a
HARLEY!!! (Rob sat on the back). Paul Austin played a political
candidate, with Dana Williams, Don Brandt and Brandon Ashpaugh
challenging his views on education for Oklahoma Educators
Association.
Child actors:
Morgan McLaughlin was recently in a national Hasbro commercial,
and both, Morgan & her brother, Otto Harrison, were in a
Chuck e Cheese video. Otto was also featured in a Dallas
children's musician music video: Eddie Coker's "I
Believe". His videos are also sold at Borders Bookstores.
America's Most
Wanted, a national television series, has filmed in Oklahoma
four times since April 2000. Megan Johnson portrayed the Norman ballerina
found murdered, and in a different segment, over 35 MAGNA actors
recreated a Los Angeles gang incident. The segment starred Brian
Frejo, with supporting roles to Brad Perez, Mike Edmondson, Marc
Page and Rob Johnstone as well as numerous featured extra
slots. In July, they came back to film another segment.
featuring Claude Kezer, Tyler Woods, Karen Magirowsky and Leslie
Boren. In October, another segment was filmed featuring
Mandy McGrew and Amanda Danskin as the victims, Jonathon Prince
as the brother, and Brad Allen and Travis White as the Bad
Guys!!! A recent FBI Files Episode featured Steven Judd.
MAGNA'S Mitch
Baker and Sean Perez were both TV's Sure Tell Man, Mitch does the
English version, Sean the Spanish language spot, with Ana
Anderson & Emily Northcutt being rescued in both versions.

markets and many others. Jack Elliott and Randy
Kemp did the radio and TV tags for Premier Parks 2000
season. Randy Colton and Cacky Poarch have done the
Frontier City TV Promotion spots for both the 2000 and the 2001
season.
Rick Walker
Enterprises, (Rick from the KATT morning team), completed filming on his third project, SAM & JANET. This was Rick's first feature length film,
having previously produced two video shorts also using MAGNA actors. SAM
& JANET featured award winning actor, Gary Busey,
and Guiding Light's, Ryan Brown. MAGNA Actress, Jennifer
Ferguson starred opposite Ryan. For details, click on [ RICK WALKER FILMS
]. The first, RADIO
MAN , featured Don Shirey, Emily Coughlin, Lilli
Bassett, and Michael Brady. The other movie, THE DEEP END,
showcased the talents of Terry Gamble, Emily Coughlin, Brittany
Hartwig, Rob Delihant, Josh Clifton, and Jennifer McNeil. Makeup
artist on both flics was Darin Moore. Rick is currently working
on two more film projects, both features, Mind's Eye and
the Final Minute.
MAGNA Actor, Eric Starkey plays sidekick to Actor/Musician Mac Davis
in 1999 Oklahoma film "Where the Red Fern Grows". Film also features Dabney
Coleman, Ned Beatty & Musician Dave Matthews. MAGNA Actor Charles Seat, who portrayed
Carl Brown in the original film shot in Oklahoma about 25 years ago, reprised his role
again in the upcoming film, the only actor to be in both of the films.
Norman Oklahoma native, Chris
Freihofer, as Les, a supporting role in
the 1998 released movie, Eye of God. and as the Assistant Coach in the
major motion picture 'O' released Fall 2001. Actor Martin
Sheen plays the Coach, and the film also stars Josh Harknett
& Mekkhi Pfifer.
Deborah Coplin and John Q. Wilson both landed roles in Chasing The
Dragon filmed in Arkansas.
Several MAGNA Actors and Actresses donated their time for a television
spot for the bombing memorial produced by Ackerman McQueen Agency. Many more
MAGNA Actors are featured in the Memorial museum in both
visual and audio areas.
Live Role Playing for Dept of Human Services Training 8 month project
4/98 - 12/98. Over 30 MAGNA actors participated in this very successful pilot program.
Project has since been continued, and MAGNA actors participate in several
sessions each year all over Oklahoma.
MAGNA actors and actresses have appeared
in hundreds of television spots and print ads for many different
restaurants and businesses, both local, regionaland
national.

Oklahoma, 7-Eleven, Bob Moore Dealerships, Cox Communications,

Furniture, Garfields, Garcias, Del Rancho, Blue Cross Blue

National Home Health Care, Oklahoma Health Dept, DHS, Koman
Foundation, CITGO, Mathis Brothers, Pioneer Cellular, Scottco,
Lazer Zone, The Boomerang, Glamour Shots and Moto Photo, as well
as multiple Regional & National Ford & Chevrolet
and Toyota TV spots. In
January 2000, 23 Magna actors were cast in multiple national Ford spots, which accounted
for about half of the total roles cast in a casting statewide as well as some Kansas, Arkansas and Texas agencies' participation.
Willie George Ministries Biblical Video series Zion 7. More than
200 MAGNA actors have participated in this project, several with reoccurring roles.
MAGNA actors are also the faces and voices on numerous
political campaign, state questions and lobby spots.
Advertising print work. Four MAGNA actors appeared on an attachment to
the cover of 1999's Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages. Many other MAGNA actors
have appeared in numerous trade magazines, commercial print ads and billboard advertisements.
Industrial and training videos for OEBC, Hertz
Corporation, Fleming Foods, Federal Aviation
Agency, Express Personnel Services, Dept of Human Services, Oklahoma Educators
Association, NETA, US Coast Guard, Oklahoma State Regents, and others.
Various CD-Rom training and
instructionals as well as Website narrations. A whole new
market! And MAGNA actors are READY!!! In 2004, lots of MAGNA
kids filmed a Blue Bunny Webisode. And, in 2005, several MAGNA
children recorded for LEAP FROG Animatics. 2006 saw the
completion of a "GEAR UP FOR HIGHER EDUCATION" video.
MAGNA TALENT AGENCY provided the On- Air Hosts for a 2 market live
televised auction cable program 42 hours per week. April 1998 to December 2001.
All aspects of semi-professional & community theatre, as well as
improv troupes, sketch comedy groups, stand up comedians, and specialty acts.
