 Synopsis:

The only person not impressed by the Ramsey family’s Noodling legacy in the small town of Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma is JENNA RAMSEY, 14. When her father JOHN and his longtime girlfriend DEE DEE announce their engagement, Jenna’s open emotional wounds are exposed to the urbane new boy, MIKEY who is both an interesting distraction and soon the key to Jenna facing her past.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

JENNA
Female, 14-16 years old. Sharp, observant, with a kind heart and a stubborn streak, Jenna is in many ways the typical introverted teenager. While she makes pleasant conversation with the patrons of the Catfish BBQ Shack where she works as a waitress, Jenna much prefers spending time alone researching new recipes or exploring the countryside on her bicycle. Jenna’s life in Pauls Valley is clouded by the painful memories of her mother's death.  She wants to find happiness and peace of mind but is unsure how to let go of the past.  This character will handle a catfish.

MIKEY
Male, 14-16 years old. Curious, friendly, unassuming and charming, Mikey is a recent Oklahoma transplant from New York who is excited by just about everything that this new life has to offer. Mikey's eager to make friends and gain acceptance from those around him.

JOHN
Male, mid-40s. Honest, straight-forward, and well-meaning-ed. John is a loving father but who doesn't always exactly know how to handle his teenage daughter.  This character will handle a catfish.

DEE DEE
Female, late 30s. Dee Dee is energetic, friendly and generous to a fault. She wants Jenna to accept her as part of their family.

KASEY
Male, mid-20s. Kasey is the rambunctious manager of the Catfish BBQ Shack. Fun-loving and out going, Kasey is an embodiment of the spirit of Pauls Valley and Noodling.

DOROTHY
Female, early 50's. Sweet and friendly, Dorothy's spent her whole life in Pauls Valley and has no intention of ever leaving. She's certain that eating catfish ensures you'll live to 120 years old.

PETE
Male, early 50's. Stalwart member of the Pauls Valley community and an avid Noodler, Pete and his wife have been eating at the Catfish Shack their entire lives. Pete and John are close friends but have drifted apart now that John's retired from Noodling.

WILFRED THE UNDEAD

“Wilfred the Undead”, an HD short shooting next  month in OKC, is looking for actors to fill positions as principals,  supporting cast and extras. The film is a horror/comedy mockumentary written  and directed by Levi Lee. Lee has produced several short works of his own, and  most recently served as co-writer and assistant director on the feature film  “Ecstasy of Gold”  which was picked up for domestic DVD distribution by  Lionsgate.  All roles are non-paid, but you will receive copy and credit.

Project type: Independent HD short
Production Company: Leviticus Prime Productions  in association with the AVA Farm
Shooting Locations: Areas in and around downtown  OKC, mostly outdoor night shoots from around 5:00 or 6:00 in the evening until  11:00 or 12:00.
Shooting Dates: July 9th,  10th, 11th, 16th, 17th,  18th
Producer: Adam Oxsen
Writer/Director: Levi Lee

Synopsis:
A crew of student documentary filmmakers  attempting to complete their final project for their senior year, stumble  across Wilfred, a homeless young man with some rather fantastic claims.  Wilfred is a vampire...and a rather horrible one at that. Except, he's not  horrible in the “evil” sense of the word, as every good vampire should  be...he's horrible as in, well, perhaps “ inept” is a better description. You  see, Wilfred hasn't ever even bitten anyone, and he's pretty depressed about  it. So, our intrepid filmmakers decide to follow Wilfred in his everyday  attempts to stay sane, and make some kind of sense of his newfound vampiric  existence...and also eat people. But mostly they just get a lot of footage of  him getting maced, tazed, and kicked in the balls.

Casting for the following roles:
WILFRED – Male, late teens, early twenties.  Wilfred is young, emotionally and sexually frustrated, and he's seen his life  go down the toilet...literally. And to top it all off, he's been given a  second chance at existence as a vampire, and he can't even do that right. He's  pathetic...impotent...but in spite of it all Wilfred possesses a good deal of  charm due to his dark sense of humor and self-deprecating manner. He didn't  have anyone to show him the ropes when he woke into the world as an undead, so  all he has to go on are the things he's seen in the movies. This whole vampire  thing is new to him, and he's learning from his mistakes...which are many.
TRAVERS – Male, early to mid-twenties. Travers,  the director of the documentary crew, is probably every actor's worst  nightmare. It's his film, and he's going to get just what he wants, no matter  what...or who he has to sacrifice to get it. He's charming, good-looking, and  confident, I mean, he'd have to be to get anybody to work with his pompous  ass, right?!
COURTNEY – Female, early to mid-twenties.  Courtney's the boom gal, and Traver's probably shouldn't have let her crew up  with him, because she's not gonna' take any of his crap. She's attractive, in  a nerd-chic, hipster kinda' way. She's the epitome of the independent  woman...strong, self-reliant, and confident with a sprinklin' of sassy.
WILFRED'S FIRST VICTIM – Female, 30's to 40's.  This part does not require much acting experience, but must be okay with  wearing moderate to extensive gore fx makeup including fake blood. Actors  auditioning for this part must not be allergic to latex.
We will also be auditioning for several minor  roles as Wilfred's “potential victims” who will be comprised of both males and  females of all ages, shapes and sizes.

Auditions will be held Wednesday June 23rd  in room A of the Norman Public Library from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Actors  will be provided sides at the audition. If you cannot make it to this audition  but would still like to be considered, please send your headshot and resume to leviticusprime@gmail.com with  “Wilfred the Undead audition” in the title line of the email.
